GRANITE IS NOT JUST STONE, IT IS STATEMENT
"GO BEYOND LUXURY "
CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH QUALITY GRANITE:
Durable. Granites are composed of a variety of minerals, each of which has specific performance properties. The hardest mineral commonly found in granite is quartz, which is normally a somewhat translucent, white to grey colored mineral. Of all stones, quality granite comes next to diamond in durability.
Stain resistant. Generally, if wiped within a few minutes, any liquid spilled will not stain. Even though water can soak into a granite countertop and leave a dark colored spot, it would evaporate in minutes. Even oil stains the granite; it can usually be removed using a poultice or paste that will draw out the oil from the stone.
Impervious to water. It is actually less absorbent than some commercial solid surface products (Synthetic). Granite is commonly used as building material for high-rise buildings due to its ability to withstand gale force winds, rain, freezing and thawing.
Heat resistant. It can withstand the heat of hot pots and pans without damage. Impact from a heavy object may chip granite but heat from anything short of a blowtorch will not affect your countertop.
Scratch resistant. Unlike marble, granite will maintain its shine for 100’s of years and will not show wear from daily use.
